Name of the movie

In 1979 or at the beginning of 1980s, I had watched a movie about a rich man's revenge from his young wife and her lover.. The husband had taken revenge from them by putting them in prison life time.. He had deceived them making them testimony that they had killed the the young man's wife though they didnt. the story was set on a greek or italian island. Could anyone remember the title? (sorry for bad english)
