Is this a sample?

Hi! Does anybody know if the song piece "North" by Paul Mounsey is a sample from another piece of music or if he created it himself? I ask because the part I heard on "visitscotland.com" is absolutely fantastic, but after downloading and hearing the whole song, I think he has ruined it with all the FX: voices,etc. If anybody knows of another piece of music that he may of used for the potential sample, please let me know! Or if there is another version of his song. Any info or links regarding would be very appreciated. Thanks for your time.
