best ending to a movie

just for fun really, i'm interested in doing a survey to all ab members, what is your best or most memorable ending to a movie, apart from the obvious sixth sense which i actually guessed honestly....

my favourite ending of recent years has got to be matchstick men starring Nicolas Cage totally unexpected.. Heist with Gene Hackman was another good ending, But I want to hear your favourites maybe I'v not seen them, and can get to see them.

I really loved the ending of Pay It Forward. Not a twist, just a really good ending to the film

I know it's a bit old now, and rather cheesy, but the first time I watched it I loved the ending to 'Dead Poets Society'

not the best films in the world but i can never ever guess the endings to the Saw films! Little ashamed to admit I went to see both at the cinema in the first week of their release - very sad! Most uplifting ending has to be The Shawshank Redemption, Kids has a pretty disturbing ending too, but it definately makes you think!

The ending of Some Like It Hot is sublime.When Jack Lemmons character finally tells Osgood he's a man (thats why he can't marry him !) & back comes the reply "Well, nobody's perfect " Cut to titles, Brilliant, just brilliant

The ending of 'Carrie'...unfortunately, I'd already been told the ending so it wasn't a shock. Still good though.

Freeze Frame - for twist

U-Turn - proper messed up ending, brilliant ending and film.

Matrix Revolutions - for all round enormous ending

Godfather 3 - extremely emotional ending to the Trilogy

the others , maybe not that exciting but great twist towards the end, i never guessed they were the actual ghosts.

Million Dollar baby. I watched the end through a curtain of tears !!! Wasn't expecting the movie to be like that at all.

Love the end of Swingers - it's a lovely sweet ending where Mikey finally sees that Trent is all talk. Nice power swing in the final seconds of Mikey always feeling inferior.

I reckon mine has to be SAW - will be watching SAWII soon so waiting for a good ending to that one too! Pay it Forward makes me cry so much at the end, it's such a good film! The Village had a very good twist at the end and for really cheesy 'happy tears' at the end, I love Save the Last Dance! Happy Watching manutdstott!!

More than one twist at the end including the same ending as Sixth Sense - only done 18 year's earlier
