I select 'insert an object' and insert the downloaded cover. I resize it to the template and print it out. It takes all of 2 minutes.
If I'm being very fussy I use glossy photo paper, usually just A4 paper.
I also use cdcovers. And I have the free Avery templates from www.avery.co.uk They will have everything you need for printing covers and very easy to use.
