as i said earlier, better than any comedy show on tv. it was superb!
It featured two cars, a pink Micra and a super car. How it has changed sinced the early days. For the better too. Have you seen vroom vroom on Sky One, cr4p. And Fifth Gear is a little irritating too.

vroom vroom............ does that (lisa rogers???) girl know anything about cars?

when reg holdsworth was telling her the brake horse power you could see her vacant expression a mile away!!

5th gear.......................i dont know what to say?

I back track a little bit. Regarding Vicky Butler-Henderson, (Fifth Gear) I would. A right posh sort methinks.
No.you have to draw the line........ she is a woman with a posh man's voice!!

Wooooooaaaaaaahhhh !

Youre talking about the woman I love !

Fifth Gear over Top Gear for me.I find many of Top Gear's features pointless and also find Clarkson and his protogee Hammond annoying.

Yep, a fantastic show. One of my favourite programmes, it didn't fail to disappoint. It makes me laugh more than most of todays sitcoms do.
Keep up the good work lads.
PS. Get you're haircut, James May!!

I love Top Gear. Summers with no footie and no Top Gear are just hideously long. Thank god at least this year we've got the WC.

I enjoy 5th Gear too. I like that it's presented by people who are drivers, not just tv presenters, and Tiff could outdrive any of the other muppets (esp Clarkson) easily. 5th Gear gives you more detail about the cars I think, and is a wee bit less "magaziney" (?), but it's not as indpendant as Top Gear, due to the constraints of advertising. On TG can really say what they think.

cars don't interest me at all really, don't even drive, but i love this programme. The car wash was fantastically funny.I had tears rolling down my cheeks when they set it on fire!! I loved an episode shown a few weeks back too where they all bought what used to be, great cars and went up against each other!!!! inspired! can't remember the cars (think one was a lamboughini?) or where they drove just remember laughing my socks off at it! Jeremy Clarkson for Prime minister!!!! He's great!

I love Top Gear but i found the 1st in the new series a little disappointing. The pink Micra, the Koenigsegg & the pi55 taking of James Hewitt were classic TG but most of it was not up to the usual standard.

Richard Hammond is becoming very annoying very quickly, Clarkson will always be Clarkson he never changes which leaves Captain Slow James May as becoming my favourite presenter of the 3! That is worrying to say the least!

And what was the point of the dog? Its not Blue Peter ffs!

The montage of things to come in the series did not look anything special either.

On last nights performance things can only get better, I hope they do.

As someone who is keen on cars and motoring issues in general I find top gear a bit annoying at times, it trys too hard to be wacky and 'bloke-ish' and spends too little time actually telling you anything factual. Also I find it a bit boring to just hear about this weeks latest supercar with a superprice that I will likely never even see in the flesh, much less own, a bit more attention spent on realistic cars would not detract from the programs apeal for me, also more about second hand ownership prospects would make sence, after all thats how most of us buy our cars. I chatted once to Clarkson at a motor show, and he is much more restrained and 'normal' in real life, he puts on a lot of his screen persona for effect. Although it always seems to be trying to keep up with top gear, (eg, going to a sixty minute show last season), fifth gear is less of a comedy, more or a serious motoring program.
I love to see and hear about the supercars they feature on Top Gear, mouth-watering stuff regardless of price. To see 'realistic cars' you can just look out you're window.
not into cars but my partner watches this, i always get a laugh out of it!
i must be getting old. i remember when top gear used to be a motoring programme. but having said that i find it very amusing. if they ever get tired of it (james, richard and jeremy, they could probably get a job with jack ass.

I think Top Gear is an excellent all round programme. And for the few that simply post up messages claiming they dont like it, or that they "...find Clarkson annoying..." well here's a shot in the dark... don't watch it.
