80's american teen sitcom

Can anybody tell me the name of a programme from the 80's? It had the song 'would you like to swing on a star' as its opening music, and it was about a girl who's dad lived on another planet! Thats about as much as I can remember, please help!! Its driving me mad!!

Not that I enjoyed the reruns a year or so ago on cable, of course...

never watched that but i used to quite like sweet valley high. It was on inbetween one of the saturday nmorning shows! Another teen show i loved and indeed enjoyed an episode of just the other day was Sabrina, the teenage witch. Salem was great! P.S i am 37!!!

Pippa68, that is my most favourite girls name in the world!!!!. I was gonna call my baby Evie Rose but i had another boy!!!! Great choice!!!!

I called my daughter Evie too, but got it from "The Mummy", glad I didn't have a boy, he could have been Ikoteb!!!!
