Who was the killer in Messiah 2 ?

Can someone tell me who the serial killer was in Messiah 2 on BBC recently ? And why did they do it ? Unfortunately my video stopped prematurely and I missed the ending. How annoying. Thanks !

Was that the 'vengence is mine' episode? If so, it was the daughter of the Judge who was on his death bed in prison. They never knew he had a daughter, she was the girl going out with the divorced copper (sorry, forgotten all the names). Turns out she was there when her father was arrested for killing the gay chap years ago. In reality it was the judges lover who killed him and out of love the judge took the wrap. Daughter was narked and went on a killing spree to rectify miscarriages of justice and in the process killed the judges lover by removing his heart. She went a bit doolally and stabbed herself in the neck with a pair of scissors when they sussed her. Cheery little show that.
