Big Brother? More like Big Bore!

I know loads of you are looking forward to it, but does anyone else find it all a complete turnoff? I'm just not interested in watching a bunch of people I don't know (and mostly wouldn't want to know) sleeping, squabbling and getting off with each other. What do other ABers think?

Oooooooohh, don't start me off. ;-) As if weeks and weeks of watching total strangers argue about whose turn it is to do the washing up wasn't depressing enough, the programme makers' idea of livening it up seems to be to encourage bullying and celebrate backstabbing. Awful, awful programme IMO. I'm with you 100%, purple-eth.

I'm with you two, don't understand it at all. Watched five minutes of the Big Brother with Pete Burns in it just to see how awful he looked and those five minutes were too long!

I was quite interested in it the first year, as it seemed to be a worthwhile social experiment. However, it has gone gradually downhill with its attempts to be increasingly shocking and outrageous and holds no interest for me anymore.

I too loved the first years show.

Since then, I haven't watched BB the whole way through..most of the time it's like watching paint dry. I have caught a couple of finals but thats about it.

I have far more to do with my time :o)

I got sucked into BB's 2,3 & 4 but then made a point of avoiding them as I really coudlnt care less !

The trouble is,once you start its hard to stop !

Hooray! So glad to find others on here you think as I do! From reading the posts that appear when the 'show' is on I thought I was the only person who found this seemingly endless program to be teeth grindingly dull and annoying, ("who do you want to win, boring self publicist number one or tedious arrogant nobody number two??"), Plus its introduced by the ghastly Davina, who thinks shouting is a talent, Big Brother? Why Bother?

Hate it!

Not only does it encourage the worst sort of behaviour in its contestants and - by extension - its viewers, but its also nothing but voyeurism.

Personally, if I had a burning desire to become a voyeur I'd find much more attractive people to spy on, doing much more interesting things.

My advice to you is not to watch it.
