Uk adverts.......

here are a few....

Smash martians are probably the most famous

Cilla Black advertising Cadburys Dairy Milk

Unigate milk -with the slogan 'watch out there's a humphrey about'

Coca Cola - the one where they sang 'i'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony'

The ones that started the series of 'all because the lady loves' Milk Tray ads

The OXO and Bisto families

PG Tips chimps (especially the one where they're trying to move the piano. Classic!)

They're just some i recall....sorry if you wanted an actual official top ten (if there is one) or something

Heinz tomato ketchup or was it beans with the kid sat at the table?

Milk where the kid is threatened with playing for Accrington Stanley

Nimble bread with that bloody balloon

the milk one (accrington stanley) was the 80's

think there was also probably a Beanz Meanz Heinz advert too. Prob with Cilla Black....she seemed to be a popular choice in the 70's!

What about the leonard rossiter and joan collins ones, cinzano or martini,i think!!!

Buzby the amusing pre-BT telephone advertising canary.

American Express "That'll do nicely" (or was that the early 80s ?)

Cadbury's Flake: woman getting wet in a field of poppies.

"Johnny's going to be a footballer when he grows up, Billy's going to be a (something else), and according to Mummy I'm going to be a proper little madam" (Start-Rite shoes ?) (well I remember it anyway)

public information films - Joe and Petunia calling the coastguard (he's having a lot of fun out there in his little dingy), dropping litter in farmers' fields.

Sugar Puffs (Tell 'em about the honey Mummy) With the Honey Monster and that bloke from the Benny Hill Show who died not long ago !

And the Shake N Vac woman (again, was that the 80s?)

And Everyone's a Fruit and Nut case - Frank Muir singing to the Nutcracker Suite.

Andrex puppy - Tetley Tea Folk: do they go back to the 70s? The decades are just a blur to me ...

sorry, don't know why I put an exclamation mark after mentioning the death of the Honey Monster's Mummy.

Henry McGee. RIP.

Splash it all over
