It was a double billing. Watched the first one and was gutted to realise that it was 1 or 2 and continued into the next one. Needless to say I fell asleep during the second episode. Why did Paris take the rap for killing Turner/McCarthy in prison, and did that other prisoner (Carlson??) have a policeman in his pocket?

I gathered that he was set up to take the rap by the copper who arrested him at the begining, who apparently returned from Australia for th trial. Carlsons informer on the inside was the female copper Carol James. Maloney realised this when another cop called her Carol and linked the name to the message Turner/McCarthy asked Paris to give to his wife saying that when the baby was born she should call it Carol if it was a girl and Jimmy if it was a boy. The wife had told Maloney that this message was crap as they allready knew the baby was to be a girl and was going to be named after her Mother. Hope this helps.

No ,Carlson kidnapped his mother and said he would release her when he got a guarantee from Paris that he wouldn't tell what really happened. The only way he could guarantee it was to kill himself so he did. It was at his funeral that Maloney remembered about the names and put 2 &2 together.

Totally confused now :

Paris - black guy in prison accused of killing Turner?McCarthy
McCarthy/Turner - Undercover cop in there to get close to Carlson
Carlson - bad guy in there on a VAT charge

So Carlson kidnapped Paris's mum? Who killed himself - Turner?

Sorry Ali- Carlson had Parises mother kidnapped then asked for a guarantee from Paris that he wouldn't tell anyone that Carlson had been the killer of Turner/McCarthy.The killing happened in the shower in front of Paris.The only guarantee Paris could think of was to kill himself (Deadmen can't talk) He did this and his mother was released.Hope this clarifies things a bit?:-)
