'Man About The House' for example was considered 'racy' in the 70s - a single guy living with two good-looking young girls? (nudge, nudge !) but it would look twee now.
Similarly 'Love They Neighbour' was supposed to be ITV's answer to 'Till Death Us Do Part' but its inferior scriptwriting made it appear crude and racist (even more so today) whereas in TDUDP we all knew that Alf was the butt of the humour.
By and large if you think of all the classic sitcoms that get repeated the're almost always made by the BBC. ITV only occasionally uncovers a gem that lasts.
For me The Goodies would now fall into the 'dated' category. Remember that that documentary showed you all the best bits, it wasn't all like that. If it was why don't you think that the BBC are showing it? - with so many digital channels these days they have plenty of airtime to fill.
Some parts of our youth are best remembered rather than revisited !
