Big role was Stagecoach but he did alot of B movie shorties first

the first film he was in was the drop kick back in the 1920's

The Drop Kick (1927) was his 5th film.

His first was entitled Brown of Harvard (1926).

As already stated his first starring role was in The Big Trail '30/31 but a very early appearance was in Mother Machree '27 where he was prop man + extra.
