2nd hand Nokia misery
2 Answers
I recently bought a 2nd hand Nokia 6600 which was in excellent nick. It was locked to Orange, but I unlocked it with a view to putting in a Virgin SIM card. The new card works OK in that I can receive calls on the Virgin SIM number etc, but there is still a whole load of Orange stuff left on the phone that I can't seem to get rid of, eg a notice that keeps coming up every couple of minutes saying do I want to connect to Orange WAP, what sort of connection (various options, Orange, Orange MMS whatever that is etc). How can I get rid of all that and connect to Virgin GPRS etc? Or do I just have to cut my losses and put in an Orange SIM, with Orange's exorbitant PAYG rates? Also the previous owner seems to have wiped all the ringtones you normally get with a new Nokia phone - how can I install these? (my girlfriend has a different Nokia - can she send me her ringtones by infra-red, say, and if so how?) Thanks very much.

Then on the other phone select the ringtone you want to send and select send by infa-red. have the phones reletivly close with the infa-red ports facing each other and you will be able to recieve the ringtone.
