i dont know if it is kelly clarkson singing or not. she isnt shown. i know that ford is a big sponsor of american idol. one of the prizes they get is a ford car, and they are always doing those silly music videos during the show that feature a ford car. i have the kelly clarkson cd, and when that commercial comes on, i instantly think it sounds like her, so i was trying to get confirmation on it.

is she shown in the commercials that you've said are running in your area?

Those Ford music videos on Idol are beyond silly - dire. Yeh Taylor he was my fave from the word go. I love Kelly Clarkson but American Idol first season wasn't shown in UK. Every season since then has been shown here. When the show gets shown on the Tuesday and Wednesday stateside - the whole thing is shown here results and all every Friday night. I loved Reuben, and I loved Diana but Fantasia was cool and I liked Carrie. I was never into Clay Aiken, but loved Bo Bice and Chris from this year and Elliot. Kat was ok too

Hi again, NACL - yes, here in scenic New Jersey (exit 8A), Kelly is shown is all her wind-blown, toussled glory. She's shown in concert footage intercut with glossy car shots. Oh, yeah, baby, that's enough to make me want to buy something . . . right . . . :D

Aurelia, I'll take your word on the other winners - my watching American Idol each season extends only to the immeasurably fun schadenfreude I get from watching the early rounds of auditions.

ok, willa - what song is she singing? on the commercials i am seeing, it is not a kelly c song (not on an album, i dont think). i dont know the words, but if you told me them i could tell you if that was it. or the next time i see it, i will try to figure out the words and post them to see if it matches yours... :D thanks for helping me to continue the insanity! :D

I've seen two commercials, and I've tracked them both down on youtube.com. They're both part of Ford's "Bold Moves" campaign. The 1-minute commercial just has her background vocals. The 30-second spot is the one with her concert footage. (Yes, you can actually see her.)

In both she's singing "Go" which, from what I can gather, will be on an upcoming album. (Chorus starts: "C'mon, now, let's go, let's jump right in"). The longer commercial starts with acoustic guitar; the shorter commercial, with her onscreen, starts right with the chorus. I can tell it's going to be one of those annoyingly catchy tunes. Have fun, and let me know if this stops the insanity. :->

ok! now i have NEVER seen the 30 second commercial before you sent me that link! all we have down here in texas is different versions of the 1 minute commercial. it would come on, and i'd be like "hey, i think that's kelly clarkson!" and then it would go off and i'd forget about it... until it came on again. and then one day, (um, i think it way just yesterday) i decided "enough is enough! i am GONNA find out!" and i posted the question on this website! and now i have found that answer bank is my new internet vice!

i think i am gonna need an AB support group pretty soon! :D
