I have loads of old Records I would like to put onto my computer and then on to CD - apart from the fact that I need to get a Record Player (which I know I must) how do I get them onto my computer and in what form do they need to be?
Sounds like you need a analogue to digital converter: 'Creative Labs' Soundblaster 24-bit External Sound System (or similar), for instance. Converts vinyl (and tapes) to MP3 quality, so the blurb says. It can reduce faults due to noise and scratches as well. It'll have software to do that. (Have a Google) Hardware available via Argos, for instance.
You may need a fairly decent turntable to produce good results at the outset. Then you 'burn' your converted files onto CD. Good luck!
