Alan Partridge - So cringeworthy and pathetic, a great caricature of someone that everyone must have met at some point, The Office is in the same league but Alan was first
Little Britain
The Office
League of Gentlemen
I'm Alan Partridge
Extras
Never really got into Extras, though really liked The Office. Little Britain definitely comes top for me, David Walliams and Matt Lucas are both so funny and work really well together. One of my fave characters is Ray ********, soo funny!
Ooooo it's a close call between Little Britain and I'm Alan Patridge, and for the reason why? They make me laugh out loud- good enough reason for me- lol.
I used to love The Office, but I watched Ricky Gervais's (sp?) stand up on DVD and went right off the guy!
In order of my favourites:
League Of Gentlemen - It's cruel and dark and hilarious all in one
Little Britain - Still funny...although constant repeats of "yeah i know" can get a little tedious but it's still good.
Extras - Gervais is genius! And i love the difficult situations he finds himself in...like when he went to the religious meeting
I'm Alan Partridge - Great! This would be higher but I haven't seen much of these.
The Office - Although I like Gervais...I just can't get away with this
Of those it's definatly League of Gentlemen then Alan Partridge, none of the others being funny to me, but nothing beats Shameless or Ideal, they're both in a class of their own.
Probably Partridge, or League. Little Britain, the only one on that list I can't stand, is just League Of Gentlemen lite - a pale, watered-down substitute (not to mention a huge waste of Tom Baker). People have very short memories...
The Office and Extras are okay. I don't think he'd have made Extras if he'd never seen Curb Your Enthusiasm, though.
