i just got season one on dvd, but i have vague memories of macleod living in a barge. am i insane or is this later in the programme? i remember watching with my mother when i was younger and i'm sure he lived on a boat. maybe it was a different show?

he did in the first series so my girlfriend says

ahhh, i'll have to finish watching it then. i'm only on the third disc at the moment. still living in the antiques store with that tessa woman.

He certainly did live on a barge, though I'm not sure which season it was. It was moored on the river Seine at the "Quai de La Tournelle" just below the last bridge behind Notre Dame cathedral.

Part of the production deal was that a number of episodes per year were filmed in France,and while he was there he lived on the barge.
