Some UK pubs are showing live Premier League football on Saturday afternoons. What channel are they tuning in to, and can the general public do the same?

Think it's Canal+, a French channel but I am not sure. I think you need a specific satellite dish and receiver, but again I am not entirely sure.
I believe that some of them pay the extortionate fee that Sky demands for additional services.
If they are showing games which kick off at 3pm then I don't know. However, many games are re-scheduled for 1200, 1230 or 1730 so that they can be shown on the 'normal' Sky channels
I know that some pubs have tuned in to a Norwegian station, and then put on Radio 5 for the commentary, which makes the commentators sound great as they are a split second ahead of the TV pictures. Don't know how an ordinary punter would get it though.
My father in law has two Italian digiboxes - "Stream" and "D+". You can usually find a live premiership game on a Saturday or one with a delayed transmission. They usually have the option of a live English commentary too. The only catch is that the boxes have to be bought in Italy and the subscription must be to an Italian address.
