Phone in TV shows

Is there any way to find out how much money each TV programme makes asking people to phone in to vote?

I doubt it as the tv companies know it's a nice earner and wouldn't want the amount known. The worst one I've seen recently was the Grand Prix programme yesterday where the phone lines would stay open until midnight Thursday at a pound a call, and the prize was 12 bottles of wine !
