i know this is annoying but i went upstairs and got sidetracked and now she is a lawyer - whats going on?

Allison met up with her dead grandmother, at the house where she used to spend her summers. When she was young she burned her arm whilst taking something out of the oven (grandma was asleep at the time)

Grandma didn't want Allison burned, so told her to go back out & come in when grandma was awake...thus changing history. Allison then went on to marry her one time boyfriend (not Joe) and became a Lawyer.

To cut a long story shorter, she preferred her real life with Joe & the kids. Despite the career as a lawyer, rich house etc her husband didn't want kids..it made her realise that she loved her life just the way it was.

At the same time, in her "real" life, she apparantly got her facts wrong in a murder case and the DA was forced to sack her.

However, in her "other" life she found out how the defence attorney had tricked her and the DA, and was able to change the course of the murder trial once she was back in her "real" life.
