Iron Man Film?

I remember watching a film years and years ago, about this guy who gets infected with some sort of alien technology that crash-lands near him, and after that he finds out that his wounds heal really fast. It was a kids' film, probably 70's or 80's.

I seem to recall it having something to do with "Iron Man" in the title, but I can't find anything like this. It wasn't really anything to do with the Marvel comics character. Anyone know what it's called?

Was it 'Doc Savage - Man Of Bronze'? Or am I well off track?

Sounds like 'Tetsuo: The Iron Man', but you would have mentioned that it was Japanese, and definitely not a kid's movie. It starts when the 'hero' gets hit by a car. Late 80's, as well. Apart from that, it's spot on!

Could it be I-Man starring Scott Bakula.It was the pilot for an unmade series and has popped up on the scifi channel in the last few years.I think it was from Disney.
