one of you guys poped ronund the ther day (dish trouble), i gotta admit fantastic service, i was well impressed from the phone call to say what time they would be down to the fact that by 8.30 am (yes am) the next day i was up and running again, top stuff.

meant to add, any chance of one of them cards that gives me full package for nowt???
I remember a time - many many years ago - when saturday night tv was so good you had to tear yourself away to go out!
i hate reality tv, whether it involves the public (cheap tv) or publicity hunting z-list celebs.
thank goodness for sky!
I agree completely, texol and quizzywig, but the reason they make them is because sadly they draw in the sheeplike viewers in their millions. Perhaps after a hard day's work - watching Jeremy Kyle, Neighbours and a repeat of Murder She Wrote - they feel the need for something truly mind-numbing to relax with. Not that it seems to be very relaxing, because they then come on here complaining about it! :-)

sky fitter , Definitely ?
Chicken and egg situation...

The programmers say that because most people either go out or rent a video/dvd on Saturdays, it is not in their best interest or viable for them to put on decent progs. They are just covering their backs, with mindless fodder...

At least with Sky we have a varied choice, Sport (boxing), films, natural history, golden oldies, music and drama.
texol some of these tv titles bring to mind Alan Partridge; dunno if you ever caught the show but he's a bit of a hero of mine.
When trying to come up with new tv ideas with a BBC boss his offerings were "monkey tennis", "youth hostelling with Chris Eubank" or "Inner city sumo wrestling" . I honestly thought the 'how do you solve a problem..." and "only fools on horses" were **** takes.
I'm tired of being taken for a fool by TV (mainly BBC1 I might add)
There is the double whammy of having to pay the fee for the pleasure of watching this crap as well. I wish i had the bottle not to bother.
