Learning Tarot
6 Answers
Does anybody know of an easy way to learn the basics of Tarot Cards. There are so many books etc. that I don't know which way to go. I was thoughtfully given as a present, a pack called "Gothic Tarot" (although I am given to believe you should chose your own Tarot cards) and cannot relate this pack to any system. IAny ideas would be gratefully received.

Only you should touch the cards. If giving someone a reading , you should cut , deal and spread them but never allow anyone else to touch them. It is often said as well that you should wrap them in a piece of silk cloth and put them under your pillow or beside your bed to allow your energy to flow into them. There are many ways of spreading the cards , such as the Horseshoe spread , the circular spread , the nine card spread etc depending on how experienced you are and what you want to know from the cards. It is best to familiarise with the cards first though. Read all about them and get to know them in turn ie major arcana , minor arcana etc. My dad reads tarot and told me that I have 'the gift' and he needs to pass it on but I am a bit scared to be honest. I've had some crazy dreams and I don't know if this is a road I want to go down but I can suggest a book to you if i helps :
The Psychic Explorer by Jonathan Cainer & Carl Rider. It gives info on Tarot , palm reading , ESP and so much more. My dad bought me a pack of cards which came with a book explaining them but you can pick that book up from your local library. Hope this helps x

Learn runes instead, it makes so much more sense, how can a piece of card with a silly picture on it, thats popped out of a mass production machine hold any mystical powers. I make runes from steel, these are hand made and blessed with a ritual, check out my website, you will also find links there to learn all about the runes and thier origins.
