When I was a child in the 60s I used to watch a kids show that had a slightly tubby man who wore a hat. He had this box, (which he called his box of tricks) I vaguely remember the man opening the box, at which point you would be transported to some story. One of the more memorable parts of the show were 3 animals, I think one was a cat, (Think the cats name was Cookie or cooky, something like that) one a rabbit and the other a rat! Can anybody tell me please what this show was called? Thanks, Chris.

I have vague memories of a show called "Whirlygig" with a rabbit called Whirly I think the man's name that did that was geoffrey Robinson. Is that the one you're thinking of?
I think the programme you mean was called "Mr. Piper".
