Actors who try and put on accents ?

Anybody else noticed the guy who used to be in coronation street now plays a nurse in holby city changes his accent everytime he speaks on the show ?
Love Holby but there are a few actors on their who suddenly change the way they speak. Can anybody think of any other shows where this happens ? thanks

yes in eastenders Dirt Den's daughter arrived with an american accent and changed after a few months to a r.a.d.a. accent

The worst one has to be Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins trying to do a cockney accent, absolutely terrible.

Dot, I think it was a response to so many complaints from the public about her inability to do an American accent. I think they thought that even complaints about her changing her accent would be fewer, in the long run, than those about her 'American' one. Inej, I have noticed this, certainly, but I just can't bring one to mind at the moment.

I can't remember if it's casualty or Holby - but there is a nurse ellen - who came from the Ukraine and had a strong russian accent and it has changed and changed until there's almost nothing now - she's meant to have got used to living here and dropped it bit by bit. it's such a load of nonsense. My nan was norwegian and came over here as a young woman. Adults, in general, don't lose their birth accent unless they want to wheras children will lose theirs. My nan kept her norwegian accent but my couins moved with my aunts and uncles an my nan to north-east of england near newcstle and developed geordie accents but for a while they could switch between a scottish and a geordie one. Look at Maria sharapova - moved to america at 7 or 8.
