Does anyone remember, many many years ago (probably sometime in the 80s) they showed on tv a series of made-for-tv movies from the States which were all about true stories. One was called "I know my first name is Steven" about a boy who was kidnapped when very young and when about 16 escaped and walked into a police station but all he could remember was what his first name used to be. There was another one about a women with 3 children who were all attacked while out in their car - I think one child was killed, one was paralysed and the other went mute from the shock or something. It turned out that she had done it to them. Anyway, can anyone remember what that one was called and where I might find these films on dvd? Thanks.
I don't know about the first one, but the second film about the kids was called Small Sacrifices about Diane Downs, who murdered her three kids and then tried to claim a stranger had done it. The role was played by Farrah Fawcett Major. If you cannot get hold of the movie, then I would recommend the book which is very good!
oh my god thats weird i was thinking about that film the other day. I used to have the book. It probably is on Amazon but i must admit I havent seen it anywhere else. Sky sometimes advertise true films but I havent seen that film on there yet. Might be in the evening as not a very nice film.
