Tom and Jerry - Magic Moments

As Tom and Jerry are to have all smoking references removed , I thought that it might be a Good time to remember the classic T and J moments - Before they are Banned!

My favourites are
* Tom falls from a great height and falls on a tree legs apart. He then "Buzz-Saws" his way down the tree complete with agonised expression ( cue all men in the audience to cross their legs! )

* Tom has a sash window fall on his neck and his tongue comes out like a Party Blower!

* The three way fight between Tom,Jerry and Butch

why are they banning smoking in a cartoon that is known for its violence,in this day and age i find it funny that they ban smoking but not tom lighting a bomb.i wonder what the holiday makers of last week would make of this

Why dont they ban Itchy & Scratchy too?

as Sir terry so rightly said on his TOGS spot yesterday, 'Far better Tom is hammered over the head with a cast iron frying pan than succumbs to the obvious health risks of a lighted cigarette' or words to that effect, the great man can be so succinct.

Too many to mention, or indeed remember, airbolt (It's PC bordering on insanity - I was weaned on T & J in the 70's, and it never gave me the urge to toke on a Capstan Full Strength. What happened to personal responsibility?)
Hang on, there was the one with the exploding mouse where Tom says "Don't you believe it" in a voice-of-God tone at the end; and a "fishing" one - Tom's reaction after he realises he's clubbing Spike and not a fish; classic.

I haven't seen T&J on the tele for years - I thought it had been banned on the grounds of violence.

Even the simple classics, like Tom stepping on rake, are so beautifully done.

The three way bashing of Tom, Jerry and Butch ( or Spike ) is very good, airbolt.
I also liked ( possibly from the same cartoon ) Tom stepping on some garden rakes that then snap up and slap him in the face.
