The parents say that they are doing what is best for the child and then refusing to send them to school or give them a decent education. They are depriving them of friends or any social interaction apart from the parents. They reckon it is so that the children will grow up to be loving and well adjusted.. On the contrary, they are going to grow up uneducation and socially shy!
It was extreme TV and a bit shocking i thought. I know mums who follow attachment parenting and they are nothing like this at all.
I loved the mum who said she wont use the naughty step course of action in case her daughters boyfriend when shes 15 or 16 tries to persuade her to have sex or he wont talk to her. WTH is that argument about??
Oh and the poo and wee all over the floors? come on, hows that good for a child?

It was disgusting, i cant believe that those parents think it is right to let their kids poo on the floor - how is that good for them??
it was a bit like that breastfeeding program that was on channel 4 a bit ago, which had that mother who was breastfeeding a 7 yr old i think which was just wrong! in one part the woman was saying that sometimes theres a kid on one side and the dad on the other!!! those two kids in that also didnt go to school so i felt really sorry for them.
i dont see how they will get a normal social life or anything if they dont really get to interact with other children or go to school... i wish they would do follow up programs of these kids when they turn into teens!

The show was designed to shock, and I guess it worked as I couldn't stop watching it! I agree it seemed very hypocritical....to me it was for the good of the parents who didn't want to let go of having little dependant babies to feed/clean up after. Not for the children who in a sad way were being deprived the social interaction and education they need in order to live in todays very driven society. Will these kids thank their parents when they are older and don't know how to interact with other people? I think not.
