hi there. i have just spoke to my husband regarding your query as he sells new renaults. he tells me that if on the day you get new clock fitted you have say 5000 miles ( for easy counting ) on the clock, then this MUST get recorded in your service book along with the date the clock was changed on and you will also get a copy receipt for warranty purposes. on the day you sell your car you will probably be asked if it is correct milage and you will have to provide the documents to show this, ie: service book and receipt of warranty job repair. so basically if you have all the documents i mentioned you should have no bother selling the car privately and if you trade it in then the garage will notify the national mileage register. we are sorry to hear of the service you have recieved from renault service department.
