If this was Kevin Smith's first film, made on a tight budget using the store where he worked, friends as actors etc then how did they get their hands on a Ambulance for the scene where the dead guy and kaitin are taken out of the store and to the hospital?

The Clerks budget was 27,575 U.S. Dollars. I'm sure you could pick up an old ambulance for 'peanuts'.

When Miramax took the film to post-production, the budget rose to $127,575.

i read that Kevin Smith had about a half dozen credit cards that he maxed out to make the movie
