I started watching Hollyoaks last week and am slightly confused. Why did Claire want to kill that bloke in hospital after the fire? What was on the DVD she stole from his hospital bed? Who started the fire in the pub and why? and finally is the girl that plays Claire a former child actress from Eastenders or Coronation Street? Sorry if I'm being very vague. Thanks

On the night of the fire OB and Mel met Claire in pub to confront her. They had a DVD from the Salon CCTV of her doing naughties :-) So after the fire Claire went to see OB in hospital and found the DVD in his trousers pocket in cabinet next to bed and swapped it for one of Toms cartoons. I missed the bit where she tried killing OB but saw poor OB showing max the DVD with cartoon on. And yes she was Nigels daughter in Eastenders also Claire.

but what is she up to? i don't get why she is being so evil, does she just want all of max's money or is she just a nasty bitch? none of it makes sense to me, and if she does just want max's money why did she try to get tom into all that trouble a while ago?

Yes she does want maxes money she got Tom in all that trouble for Max to see he needed to have more time for him. So max sold the shop, so her plan was to get away with the thousands that was in their joint account once they were married. OB found her plane ticket and said he�d go to max, when he did on the wedding day she produced another ticket saying the people she booked it with got it wrong and only booked 1 ticket but she had got another for a surprise honeymoon. But her plan was ruined when after the wedding max told her he had a surprise for her too and produced deeds to the loft which he�d bought with all the money she was after. Leaving her stuck in the marriage until she can get the money. God I must get out more.
