Did anyone see Fern and Philip Schofield talking to a lady this morning. It was just after 12 (just came in from work so missed beginning). She was about 32 and it had taken up to a few months ago to diagnose her problem. Can't remember what it was called. Apparently her legs were getting bigger and bigger although her frame was very small. Although it has not been confirmed, she was under the impression that she would eventually have to have her legs amputated.

I did see it maggie, and thought she was really brave. It must be so hard not being able to go anywhere without people commenting/being rude etc, but thought her attitude was great. I think its good for people to tell their stories like she did today - obviously it's a very rare condition, but if I did see someone like her in the street then I would know what sort of thing it was, and understand a little bit more.

I looked up the condition and didn't realise the Elephant Man film was based on a man with the same condition. That moved me to tears and makes you realise how fortunate you are.
