Hiya I have also put this in Body and Soul as wasn't sure where it should go. I am 5 momths pregnant and trying to come up with babies names. So far have a few for boys but no girls name. The problem is, my name is so unusual that I have never met or heard of anyone with my name. I like being unique and want my child to have a fairly unusual name that isn't too common also but am struggling. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Also, it is hard as I don't want anything too out there or something that is fashionable just for now. Do you know what I mean?? Thanks in advance for you help :o) T
I'm nearly 4 months pregnant and having the same problem but the other way round - I can think of loads of girls names but not many boys.
For girls I like Freya, Jasmine, Isis, Niamh and Roisin
Boys: Finn, Ethan, Noah, Jude and Luca
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and try not to worry about names too much - the perfect one will come to you soon enough, it may only be once you meet your baby!
Hi, its a nightmare deciding on a name. I have just had a boy and called him Harrison, his middle name is Christison, My daughter is called Adele,
I lked Addison for a girl this time and we also liked Maddie, for a oy it was Harrison from day one, I think boys names are harder, Carson was a favourite too.
Good luck and enjoy the rest of your bump growing.
Answered this in B&S too :o)
My youngest 13 is Jareth (Bowie fans) & eldest 16 Joel ..I too have an unusual name..never met anyone with the same name as mine yet....
Hi Curious79, we have a 4month old and again were the opposite!, had no problem with girls names but really struggled with boys. We went for Caoimhe (meaning beauty), others on the list were Eva, Lily, Molly, Orla, Megan.
Sunny30, how on earth did you come up with Christison?, Is it made up?
Christison was my Grandad and my Dad's middle name, it is not common at all but i i think it is lovely and also keeping it in the family.
I dont agree in middle names either, i dont have one and niether does my daughter, they are never used, it was only because it was in the family and i like it,
My friends niece is called Wryka.
I have a friend who has a two girls and a boy, they are all babies. She has used the 'in' names as such but she has given them all the boys 'in' names. Even the girls!!
