Anybody know why we never see 'The Benny Goodmn Story' on TV?
We regularly get 'The Glenn Miller Story' but never BG.

You'd have to ask the TV networks for a definitive answer, but I think it's something to do with the morbid fascination factor. Glenn Miller, of course, died young, tragically and in mysterious circumstances at the height of his popularity. Goodman lived to a decent age and died of natural causes, and was certainly still going strong when the film about him was made. Presumably the powers that be in TV land think that makes for less of a ratings winner.
