The Royle Family

I saw the one-off special last night of the Royle Family. The character Derek, who was on a date with Cheryl, looked very familiar. Was it the same actor who played the skinny red headed guy in The Full Monty?

I cried when Nana and her daughter were singing Que Sera Sera, we had that at my mum's funeral, that was very moving , the way they acted there was so real.

Hang on..................I was really disappointed. I thought that Ricky Tomlinson overacted it too.

They'd tried to reuse some stuff too, the dancing round when they were laying the floor was spookily like when they were stripping the wallpaper, the Elsie thing was wheeled out again as was the singing in the louge by Joe and the the rest of them.

I was so looking forward to a good old cheer up and that hit my screen! I couldnt turn it off as I thought that it must get better, but it didn't.

Not what I remember the Royle family to be like, guess that why they should have left it where it was
