The classic one where Del went to lean on the bar and the barmaid had lifted the section and he fell flat. Also when his son was born and he showed him to his mum in the sky. Very touching.
Definitely the one where Del submitted Rodneys painting to a competition and they won a holiday, but Rodney had to pretend he was 13, and spent the holiday doing all the 'kid's' activities. I think they also won the lottery but couldn't claim it.
The chandelier is mine too. You could see it coming all the time, somehow, but you just couldn't figure out how they were going to do it. You just didn't think about the other one.
Apparently, in the aftermath, the two of them stood at the top of those ladders trying very hard not to laugh whilst the camera stayed on them. If you look carefully, you can see them trying to keep their faces straight.
For comedy value it would have to be the batman and robin episode but for heart warming it would have to be when damian is born and del shows him to his mum.
It would have to be something involving Trigger. I liked the one where he' s trying to cheer Rodney up as he's in a fit of depression. He tells him about a guy he knew who was depressed about the amount of debt he was in, so drove to the cliffs at Beachy Head, intending to drive over the edge, but some people had a whip round and got enough to pay off the debt. Rodney perks up and asks who these kind souls were. Trigger replies "The passengers on his bus". Classic.
My fave episode is the one where Rodney won the painting competion (Marble arch at dawn) and they went off on holiday with Rodney pretending to be 14! I love it everytime he has to say " the groovy gang" Classic!
Lots of very funny and, as BagPuss points out, some moving moments. I think my favourite of the latter was after Cassandra had lost the baby and Del came out and punched that whinging bloke on the nose for moaning at the hospital staff.
There's so many but when Damien is born, it was not only very touching but Sullivian still manages to inject some classic lines: remember this:
Outside the delivery room
Del: She's done it, she's only bloody done it!
Rodney: What's she had?
Del: A baby
Rodney: What about the sex?
Del: Give her time!
The one when they go on an outing to Brighton or somewhere and Everbody's Talking about it By Nillson plays during the holiday montage. They can't get home because the bus breaks down so they have to stay in that hotel, but they get there two late. So they try and get their Uncles attention by throwing a stone at his window but it smashes. Classy.
my other favourite episode of only fools and horses is hull and back where there get lost in the middle of the north sea and rodney as got a pocket full of flares anda life jacket he as got sea sickness that is one of classics out of the full 65 episodes
