talk talk phone & broadband versus BT line Has anyone else failed to connect?
2 Answers
Had a BT line that was put over to NTL then to enable me to apply for the Talk Talk combined phone & broadband package I had to have a BT line so I contacted BT they gave me a renumber and I signed up with BT then changed it to Talk Talk but alas I have the phone working through Talk Talk and they are billing me but they are unable to offer me broadband because they can only see the line as a cable line with an incorrect post code and address than mine.
3 months down the line and 41 phone calls later to Talk Talk and BT and I am still unable to get the combined phone and broadband package. My last phone call today was with BT which lasted a total of 1hour & 35 minutes and I am still no farther forward, apart from being forced into a combined service from BT for 33 per month instead of 20 per month with Talk Talk.

The phone line and price is brilliant but I had broadband for only two months (having waited for 3 months to be connected and paying the one off fee of 29.95) and then they 'upgraded' me on 8th October and I haven't been able to get internet or email at my home address since. I won't go into the times I have phoned and the hours I have spent hanging on to 'your message is important, we will answer your call shortly.....'. I have phoned other departments, they still give me the same number to phone (which never, ever answers) or they take the details and say they'll get someone to call me - they never do. They don't reply to my emails. I have to travel 2 miles by bus (thank God for my Freedom Pass!) to use a friend's BT broadband. Do think carefully before you change. Look for someone cheaper than BT but I don't think it's talktalk.
