Does anyone know of a website where I can find the charts for a particular week in a particular year? everyHit.com can provide dates for specific records or artists, but I need the whole chart for a particular week. BBC Radio website doesnty seem to have anything. Any ideas?

http://www.everyhit.com/retrocharts/ will find you a top 40 from early, mid, or late part of every month from 1952 to 2004.

eg http://www.everyhit.com/retrocharts/1981-March C.html is for late march 1981. Is that any good?

Many thanks, mushroom. In the meantime, I've found yearsofgold.org.uk which has a much more comprehensive week-by-week listing. the everyhit site claims that no site or publication lists archives in this detail, but they are clearly wrong. Anyway, I found the week I was after (in Novemebr 1978) and have been on a fantastic nostalgia trip since!
