Buffy or Dark Angel

Personally I think Dark Angel has something that Buffy doesn't. I think they call it an interesting personality. Buffy whines way to much. What do you guys think?

She HAS died twice and saved the world countless times, and what did she ever get but more trouble? Now, I'm not saying I don't like Max ('cause I do), but others must not have, 'cause she only got two series, and Buffy got seven. And besides, can you ever imagine Max and the Jam Pony crew doing a musical number? In essence, Max rocks, but Buffy rules ;o)
The writing in buffy is good but if you think, they are both in fairly simialar situations, Buffy is really self centered and basically treats everyone around her badly whilst Max is a reasonable human being. Though Buffy was better in the first series she has that whole - I'm wonderful thing going on.
I think Max is too 'normal' for a girl in her situation. With Buffy you can see the turmoil she sometimes goes through as a result of who she is, what she does and what happens to her. But anyway, neither of them are in production any more, and I have to admit to being quite sad about that, on both counts. I thought Dark Angel had great potential, and it ended just as it looked like it was about to get really interesting (although apparently they MAY be making a film to tie up the loose ends), and I think Buffy could quite easily have run for another couple of series. But I am an absolute Buffy-phile. Cried my eyes out during the last episode (as well as at other appropriate times (well, appropriate to me, anyway)), and not ashamed to admit it.
I'm pasting this over from a different site that I contribute to (www.futurenoir.com):
"Buffy may have had it's lows, but did have some stunning episodes that actually elicited an emotional response in the viewer, and took risks with it's format:
Hush - an episode almost entirely without dialogue;
Once More with Feeling - a musical episode ;
Becoming, Part 2 - Buffy kills Angel, knowing he is no longer evil, to save the world;
The Gift - Buffy sacrifices herself rather than Dawn; watch the reactions of the gang afterwards;
Tabula Rasa - The gang lose their memories, and come to some odd conclusions about who they are; though Spike guesses his nationality correctly: Oh, listen to Mary Poppins. He's got his crust all stiff and upper with that nancy-boy accent. (everyone looking at him) You Englishmen are always so... (pauses) Bl**dy hell! (ticks off on his fingers) S***ing, blimey, sh*gging, knickers, b*ll*cks, oh God! I'm English!;
The Body - Buffy's mum dies; this is perhaps the most realistic depiction of the aftermath of a death that I have ever seen, and is a harrowing piece of television."
Apologies to AB for the (edited) swearing (that naughty Spike!). I just don't think that Dark Angel would ever have produced an episode 1/2 as good as any of the above. Oh - apologies about the lack of formatting on the above, but there doesn't seem to be a way to format text on AB!
