Though this is from the trivia section.

When the character of Alan Fisher (Simon Kay) was killed-off, the producers later regretted their decision due to a fan back-lash. Several ideas were penned where the actor could make a believable return, including one where a movie was made on Alan's novel, "The Crest of a Wave" (although the novel wasn't launched until 2001 in the show), and Simon would show up as another character "with a moustache" to audition for the lead, stunning other cast members with his resemblance to the dead Alan.
Question Author
Simon Kay does sound about right, although like you say, Aussie soap actors usually appear in other programmes too.

Just found the website below on Yahoo and someone thinks he has been in Flying Doctors and Water Rats, whatever that is.

all i remember was he was a total honey - although many years later not sure i would think the same lol.

I agree, he was gorgeous, my sister and I both swooned over him when we were mere girlies. Just wondered what he looked like now though.
Yeh he was gorgeous and there was the whole bobby storyline. I blubbed my eyes out when he died of the aneurism. The sdame thing happened with the Meg and Blake storyline some years later and there was a backlash when she died but it was much worse when Alan died as the majority of the audience were young girls who found him a hottie.
Oh my God, meg and Blake! That is a blast from the past. What a storyline that was! I cried like i would never stop when she died. :-( :-(
i cried too lol as they watched the sunrise together - Blake is bald now lol
He's apparantly sometimes credited as Simon Bossell, is this him...

It was ages ago when i was in school (am 28 now), it was an aussie drama about police round the bay in sydney and there was this gorgeous bloke in it.

Question Author
I am the same age as you and I just can't remember Water Rats, and I always watched the Aussie programmes.
