Repost of question - put it under 'music artists' by mistake!?!

I once saw an american (canadian?) comedian who was very funny and I wanted to see if any of his material was available on DVD. He was quite fat and had a loud and energetic delivery. All I can remember is one sketch he did about being married and his wife saying he could go out with his friends but he had to leave his penis at home (detaches lead from handle of microphone). He then pleads to his friends to kill him if they see him in the garden ('Look at this face, I'm in hell here etc). Any ideas?

Only a guess, but was it Mike McShane? He did a few UK and US appearances in Whose Line.
