I realise I have other channel options and even an off switch, but I reckon it's time Jools Holland was dumped as New Year TV host. Yes the music's great thanks to his artist pulling power, but he's not moved on as a presenter since The Tube, his interviews are hopeless and the studio is always full of his boring old mates: French, Saunders, Edmonson, Higson, etc. They're like some sort of mafia who reckon they're hilarious but simply aren't. Time to, as the old song goes, ring out the old and bring in the new. Don't you think?

Sorry to disagree but I thought the show was brill. Different kinds of music for all ages. It would'nt be the same without it at New Years Eve. Happy New Year
I love it! Best programme of the year and I look forward to immensely.
Why try to mend something thats not broke. It was a lovely programme me and mine enjoyed every minute of it.
The best thing about post Christmas TV..Love it!!!
Love it too.Seasick Steve was fab!!
Looks like you're out numbered on this one craig, i love it too. Jools always has the best variety of music on his shows. i look forward to his hootenanny at the years end as i do to his 'later...' shows to end the week on during the year.
Couldnt agree more with the other postings it is an excellent programme and showcases a lot of music that i certainly wouldnt probably see/hear anywhere else , i agree with Bex that Seasick Steve was excellent and i had never heard of him before, i will be looking out for his stuff now.
An exellent show in my opinion!
