In the seventies there was a children's TVprogramme called Robinson Crusoe. It was made by a European company and had wonderful theme music. I believe it was a classical piece of music and I would love to know what it was called and the composer. Does anyone know ?

You're older than you think chrisgk - this series was shown in the 1960's and the music is firmly stored in the memory banks of a generation of children. The BBC who owned the series has managed to wipe most of the tapes, but you can get the series on video. The soundtrack was written by Robert Melin and Gian-Petro Reverberi, and you can get it on CD on the Silva Screen Records label, and the catalogue number is FILMCD 705, or German import on SIL5705/2.
yes i remember it and its not the original theme music and was probably shown in the 70's. I think it was a French composer. Such lovely music and I'm still trying to find it.
