worlds worst song
the worst song has to be lady in red, it somes up all that was bad in the eighties, it has to be the most the hideous piece of music that has ever been wriiten, even worse than a cliff richard song.

i quite liked belinda carlisle, well just one of her songs circle in the sand.
bigdogswang
never heard of always, then again don't like bon jovi, whitney houston version of that song was way over the top, somebody should've her shoved her into the lake.
Just remembered another song its called shuddap your face by Joe Dolce, thats another one doing the rounds in the eighties (ooh the eighties had a lot to answer for).

I like the proper version of I Will Always Love You - the sweet, understated, genuinely emotional original by Dolly Parton - but Whitney's completely Hollywood OTT 120 decibel shoutathon is absolute cack IMO.
Just before Baby Jane gets all medieval on my ass (whatever that means), I will agree with her about Honey by Bobby Goldsboro. It first came out when I was in the womb, and was one of my mum's favourites. No wonder I've ended up such a twisted, emotionally scarred wreck.

Enjoy the show, Baby Jane - Dolly's a legend! ;-)
BDW - I'm doing well thanks, now the flu's finally subsiding. Good call on Lucky Stars - I'd forgotten about that monstrosity. Although how could anyone forget a rhyming couplet like:
I may not be all that bright
But I know how to hold you tight
Yaaarrggghh!!

OK then, maybe not a terrible song as such (I know a lot of people love it), but one that has always got right on my tonsils. Where Do You Go To My Lovely by Peter Sarstedt - firstly because it seems to last for about an hour, and secondly for that awful pseudo-Noel Coward nonsense he's got going on.
Where do you go to, my lovely
When you're alone in your bed
Tell me the thoughts that surround you
I want to look inside your head
Oh yes I do, a ha ha ha...
Cobblers.
You talk like Marlene Dietrich
And you dance like Zizi Jeanmaire
Oh, do shut up.

The only reason I like Lady in Red is because it gave rise to Mitchell and Webb's hilarious parody, Table of Reds:
