Error windows 80070052: Cannot transfer MP3 archives to the device

I've got an MP3 player and up to now, I've only used half of its capacity (1G). I had never had any problem in transferring MP3 archives from my computer to the device until some weeks ago. Since then, eveytime I try to input a new song (using the same procedure I was used to)m I receive a Window error message, saying: " "The directory or file cannot be created." (error code 0x80070052)

The archives are ok, because I have managed to copy them to another MP3 player. So, the problem must be somewhere else...

Is there anything I could do before taking it to a technician? I've heard that I should reformat the device... but I thought it would be better to look for a second opinion...
