Some women like to think that if control is taken away from them in an erotic, rather than brutal sense, it gives their mind the freedom to enjoy the sex far more - safe in the knowledge that they have no control over events.

Symbolist painters used to make a lot of use of this sort of image...male entity is called an incubus and female is a succubus (the goth band Alien Sex Fiend had an indie success with Incubus/Succubus in the 1980s.
