The original film The Ring

I just watched the original version last night and i was so let down by it.I was told by mates how scary it was but by the end credits i was still waiting to be scared.Don't get me wrong i like a good horror movie but this did nothing for me.Did anyone else feel this way or if you felt it was scary in what way maybe i missed something. Thanxs

I also found the remake to be better - but scary? I cannot remember the last time there was a really good pant- s**tingly scary film............and at this point, I would like to mention Blair Witch - the biggest disappointment of recent years - went to the cinema expecting coronary inducing frights, but was bored rigid from beginning to end. Yes, it was produced on a budget, but has to be the biggest expample of hype over substance of recent years.

I agree totally, scubaboy - I can't remember the last time I saw a genuinely SCARY movie, and BW was incredibly dull: just when things started to happen, the movie stopped!

Yep count me in, both the origional and hollywood were great but I would call neither scary. The 'famous' TV scene was not in the least scary. Cant say I have been scared by any film recently.
