A friend has emailed me to ask me if one of the cast of Heartbeat used to be in Coronation Street. She hasn't given me the name, so can anybody help me out with this very long shot

I don't actually watch Heartbeat or Coronation Street (honest!) - but I do know that Geoffrey Hughes was in both of those series.

Kazia Pelka who played Maggie Bolton in Heartbeat has also appeared in Coronation Street.

It's an unwritten rule if you used to be in Coronation St or Emmerdale then you shall go into either Heartbeat or Where the Heart Is !! Your friend is probably right !!
