Free digi boxes for pensioners?

A friend told me that pensioners were to offered free digital boxes, is this true?

It is aimed at people aged over 75 and over, people with significant disabilities and people who are registered blind or registered partially sighted. People with significant disabilities are those who receive Attendance Allowance or Disability Living Allowance.

The assistance and support provided by the Scheme will include:

*providing equipment to convert one TV set
*help with installation
*follow-up support

I hadn't heard about this until I saw your post.
And to think I saved up for my freeview! I've just chucked my crutches at the screen. I notice they didn't put a letter about it in my DLA.
Thanks so much for drawing my attention to it.
P.S. In case you are wondering how I can afford a computer - I can't. I use my daughter's PC while she's at Uni. Thank God for generous daughters.

My dad is registered as disabled & a pensioner , which is why I was enquiring! Thanks for the help!!!!!
