Do you think the read necks chasing the Top Gear crew in last Sunday's show was a put up job? It looked real enough!

What about last year's caravan trip that ended up with the caravan catching fire?
I stopped believing anything they did after one programme where they turned a Renault Espace into a convertable, which they took through a car wash in Bedford, which supposedly caught fire.
I the local paper at the weekend the Garage where the car wash was situated admitted that it never caught fire, and that the flames were added in the edit suite.
Still makes great TV though!!!!

I do think it was interesting that the cameras all turned off at the same point, (including the in car ones), and you never actually saw the stoning. You also never actually saw that truck load of rednecks even utter a word.
However, I think you could tell that the woman's anger was pretty real, and the fear of the presenters seemed real enough as well. I reckon they've made the incident look scarier than it actually was, but I'm not sure about it being a set up.
What it proves is another matter I suppose. If you bait thick and violent people, then I wouldn't be surprised if they react in a thick and violent way. Great TV though - one of my favourite episodes ever!
